Documentary Response

Name: Instructor: Course: Date: The Moog DocumentaryThe Robert Moog Documentary is a piece written and directed by Hans Fjellestad and produced in 2004. Hans Fjellestad is a documentary film maker, music composer and a pianist who is based in California. The documentary is about Moog, who is portrayed as the inventor of the modern synthesizer, a sound engineer, and a very articulate theorist. Also, he is also an unabashed mystic about the links between the cosmos, people, and the machines. This is clearly shown in Hans Fjellestadā€™s first scene of the documentary, where Mr. Moog points out in a perfect and reasonable voice that ā€œI can feel what is going on inside of a piece of electronic...

Bruno Mars’ Rock in Rio Concert

Bruno Mars' Rock in Rio Concert Rock in Rio festival started in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil has been referred to as ā€˜the biggest music festival in the world.' This was the first time it was coming to the United States of America and Las Vegas. The festival was spread over two weekends ā€“ May 8th-9th, and May 15th-16th. The first weekend was rock-themed while the second concert was more pop. The venue of the festival was the MGM Resorts Festival Grounds, Las Vegas. I attended the pop-themed festival that featured pop artists Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars as headliners. Mars gave a great performance to close Rock in Rio's inaugural festival in Las Vegas. The other headliners, especially Taylor Swift, were...

The performance of Serenade No. 1 was pretty impressive and happens to be one of my favorites. Philip Levy worked wonders as the violinist and Andrew Duckles did the same on the viola. Serenade No. 1 in D, Op 11 has six different movements and are ā€œAllegro molto (D major)ā€, ā€œScherzo. Allegro non troppo (D minor) ā€“ Trio. Poco piĆ¹ moto (B-flat major)ā€, ā€œAdagio non troppo (B-flat major)ā€, ā€œMenuetto I (G major) ā€“ Menuetto II (G minor)ā€, ā€œScherzo. Allegro (D major) ā€“ Trioā€,...

Sketch of a new asthetic of music

Name: Tutor: Course: Date: An extract from Ferrusio Busoni; Sketch of a New Artistic of Music Ferrusio Busoni, the Italian was a music composer and a skillful gig pianist who worked in Germany. His piece has continued to inspire the liberty and the prospect of music. His work is broad, profoundly poetic, philosophical and clairvoyant. The current state of music at the moment of writing was at the time when music art was at a standstill in its technique and style. In this point, Ferrusio describes the state of music as following rules and regulations (Juslin 250-55). At this time in history, people who are cautious and feared to try out new methods of doing...
