Cloud formation is a very important phenomenon. Clouds are responsible for rainfall and regulation of temperatures between the day and the night. They are formed as a result of the saturation of air as a result of being cooled to the dew point. It is also formed when the air collects sufficient moisture. Vertical movement of air is caused by differences in temperature between the air on the ground and the one above it. As the temperature of the earth rises, the air becomes lighter, its temperature drops and thus is forced upwards by cooler and denser air above it. As the air is forced upwards, it reaches regions of low temperatures that allow the air to reach dew point cause saturation and develop into clouds. When such air contains adequate moisture, vertical movement allows it to reach regions with adequate conditions for saturation and the development of the different types of precipitation (Clouds And How They Form, 2011).
The adiabatic temperature changes involve the vertical and horizontal distribution of heat and are caused by conventional currents. It is a temperature change that caused the establishment of a vertical temperature as well as air profile. It is associated with the vertical movement of air from the ground to the sky and thus leads to the development of clouds and causes precipitation by forcing air to reach regions with dew point temperatures which cause saturation of air (Clouds And How They …
