The concept of the supply chain is meant to ensure that businesses can convert their resources into value for their consumers. An effective supply chain is expected to deliver value to the company and meet the current and future consumer demands. Apple Inc. is a business that has had an effective supply chain, and it has ensured that it stands out from its competitors. The supply chain of the business has failed due to the failures in the production process (Webb N.p). The business adopted a strategy that includes outsourcing their manufacturing functions to companies in Asia. The adoption of new regulations such as the Taiwanese corporate law resulted in delays in the manufacturing processes.
The disruption in the supply chain led to the consumers having to wait for their gadgets.
