Summary of “The ‘Spoils’ of the Park”
The article “The ‘Spoils’ of the Park” requires attentive discussions on the subject matters. According to the article by Rosenzweig and Blackmar, the Board of Commissioners discussed the final status of the Central Park and sealed their meeting, which makes the board members feel concerned and uneasy about the future. Both authors mentioned that the board officials did support a newfangled urban treaty called the Tweed Charter that would affectedly change the city’s compliant empathy for the state. According to the authors, the Tweed charter shifted control of the Central Park, which would need park commissioners to spearhead the management of Central Park in the urban regions.
