RESEARCH ON THE RIGHTS OF THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY IN THE UNITED STATES.
Background.
For a long period, the United States of America has ensured equality among people. Regardless of religion, colour or origins, the country has as a beacon of hope to every individual. However, America is also on record of denying the rights of a particular group of people. However, most of the citizens posit that discrimination is wrong (Hansen et al. 955). They believe that people should undergo equal treatment. In the present United States, the lesbians, gays, bisexuals and those with transgender do not enjoy their basic rights as the other citizens do. Even though there are laws that prohibit discrimination in America, the LGBT people still experience discrimination in their daily lives.
Study Objectives.
At the end of the study, I should be able to describe the characteristics of the LGBT community.
At the end of the study, I should be able to list all the basic human rights in America.
At the end of the study, I should be able to discuss the challenges that the LGBT people experience.
Research Question.
America is on record of denying the LGBT people the basic rights that they are supposed to enjoy like the other citizens. Therefore, I would ask the respondents what the basic human rights in America are.
