Introduction
Dwight David Eisenhower was a statesman and army general in the United States of America. He became the 34th president of the states of America from the year 1953 to 1961 (Holl 133). He managed to be the first president of America to be obliged to 22nd amendment that was on the limitation of the maximum terms a president could serve in the office. David Dwight Eisenhower was born in Denison, Texas and brought up in Kansas Pennsylvania Dutch family ancestry. Dwight’s parents were religious and his mother was a Lutheran and got married as a River Brethren, though she later changed to Jehovah’s Witness. After Dwight graduation from his military career in 1915, he married Mamie Doud and conceived two sons with her. In 1941 by the time he became a brigadier he had served under many generals. He successful invaded North Africa during world war two. In 1951 to 1953 he was NATO’s 1st supreme commander (Maye 3).
Dwight’s accomplishments while on the presidency
According to Maye, (3), Eisenhower vied for the presidency as a Republican in 1952 for the first time with an aim of deterring the policies of Senator Robert that he perceived foreign. He defeated Adlai Stevenson II both in 1952 and 1956, emerging to be the first elected Republican president since the year 1928 (Maye 3).
