A wrong decision can be defined as a conclusion which is done when a person has no way of differentiating between the right and wrong choice. A bad decision refers to arriving at the wrong conclusion due to improper use of facts or statistical data that can be implemented to help make the correct choice. Different sets of data are used to assist in making organizational decisions. Managers sometimes make the wrong choices when there is no data to assist in making these choices and therefore have to rely on intuition. Bad decisions are made when the managers decide to ignore the existing facts.
One of the best methods that managers might use in improving their decision-making skills is considering all the pros and cons of all the available choices, the decision with the most advantages and the least disadvantages is likely to be the best decision. Sometimes managers have to deal with making decisions under conditions of uncertainty, handling such situations requires managers to be comfortable with being uncomfortable (Rodriguez n.p.). Decisions made under uncertainty provide information on what was done right when they turn out to be correct and help in improving future choices through indicating what to avoid if they turn out to be wrong.
