Airline passengers often deal with continuous modifications in airport security and baggage rules. Before passing through security, they have to open their bags, break strides, and remove clothing in some cases to guarantee overall safety. The hassle caused to passengers while being subjected to these exasperating procedures is annoying. Envision a situation whereby passengers could pass through airport safekeeping while on the move. Despite sounding impossible, airports can implement this idea in less than ten years. In deliberation with various stakeholders, the International Air Transport (IATA) proposed a framework to improve the ultimate security of airports post the 9/11 attack (Airsafety Forum, 2013). According to the IATA, walk-through airport checkpoints should rely on more complex screening machines. Security personnel should conduct prescreening aptitude and information gathering to identify treacherous persons before they even access the airport.
Considering the current and anticipated financial certainties, risk-based security at airports is critical. Notably, most government globally are undergoing tough economic times and crises.
