Sociology, as the name implies, involves the study of the human society while geography, on the other hand, deals with the study of land and features found on the earth surface. Geography can be classified into physical and cultural geography. Cultural geography is highly related to sociology as it emphasizes how humans live and their culture. Since ancient times geography has had an immense impact on the society and this can be seen in various situations. The climate which is an aspect of geography helps to explain the kind of clothes people wear. The environment also influences a nutritional diet as people will eat what they are comfortable with depending on the weather (Rolon n.p).
