Anne Frank’s Childhood versus Her Grownup Maturity
Anne’s period and state of maturity changed in different ways over the few years she was writing her diary. She changed majorly in growth, ability to accurately assess situations in human politics especially in the fascist rule during the Second World War and a well-educated writer. Moreover, many of her diary records and statements showed her maturity in thinking after the two years as she becomes staid, sociable and popular in school with broad views and greater understanding of the world (Frank 8).
Anne remains social and with relentless determination in writing, while in school as she used to be while she was young. She used to be a bright girl who liked being around boys, loves school and spending time with her friends which is similar to her life in ‘Secret Annex.’ Upon her arrival in the annex, she becomes hopeful and confident about life, but over time, her characters become a source of loneliness making her have deep thoughts hence making her challenge quickly. In addition, she becomes popular in school and falls in love for the first time.
However, relationship with her parents changed over time after her sister Margot get orders from the army for them to go into hiding at the “Secret Annexe.” She ends up continuing writing most of her thoughts and life occurrences that she thinks might provide enjoyment to her friend.
