The satisfaction of customers is the most significant parameter for analyzing the service quality offered by the provider (Gupta and Rokade 84). Healthcare facilities, being service providers, must ensure customer service mechanisms to provide for patients to get not only excellent services but also to get well sooner. Some sicknesses need quality customer service for their remedy. This paper narrates a commendable experience I had at a healthcare facility recently.
About a month ago, I visited a hospital for just a general check-up and a concern about some perennial chest pain that occurred from time to time. As I got to the hospital, I got a nurse who ushered me to the registration desk’s waiting bay. As I awaited service, I was given a couple of health brochures and magazines to read. When my turn came to get served, I was the usher took me to the registration desk where I sat. Politely, I was taken through the registration procedure after which I was legible to see the doctor.
Upon arrival at the doctor chamber, she immediately welcomed me and asked me to take a seat. She asked me about how I felt, and after a brief productive conversation, she allowed me to go to the laboratory for tests. I still recall the doctor’s choice of works. She never got angry with my numerous questions about my health. She was calm and assured me that everything was fine.
