Stakeholder refers to individuals who take part in a program, and they have an interest in the results of the evaluation. Stakeholders represent their interests and needs during the process thus ensuring that perfect program evaluation is attained. Having a better understanding of the concerns and priorities of different stakeholder’s aids in evaluation planning (Posavac,2015). More so it creates good communication strategies during and after the process of evaluation thus enhancing the proper utilization of the evaluation results.
Stakeholders take a huge role in helping or hindering an evaluation. They do so before, during, and after the results of evaluation have been conducted and are ready for use. This is because so many programs are complex. Therefore, stakeholders are vested with certain importance to ensure that the right evaluation questions are identified (Posavac,2015). They also ensure that the results obtained from the evaluation will be used to make a difference.
