On June 7, 2018, the Trump administration stated that they will not be supporting the “Affordable Care Act”, due to the recent legal disputes to its authorization (Goldstein 1). The administration claimed there are key parts in the ACA that should be invalidated and the personal mandate is unauthorized (De Vogue and Luhby 1). The filling of the case took place in February, when Texas and the other Republican-governed States filed a complaint in the “US District Court for the Northern District of Texas,” confronting the constitutionality of the ACA (Teichert 1). The new tax cuts excluded the individual mandate thus the argument is that the law can no longer stand on its own. There were states like California who are trying to save the ACA arguing that the Texas suit is unlawful and will cause havoc in healthcare (McGreevy 1). A retired lawyer called the actions of President Trump destabilizing and the ACA decision would eventually undermine citizens’ insurance market
