Summary to the article “Yemen’s unseen economic war is killing children by stealth.”
The world is filled with wars, inequalities, and violence among individuals. Almost every person is subjected to suffer from different diseases, the game of political chess, health disparities, and other reasons. Yemen is believed to be one of these countries. Almost every person, namely children, is likely to die from various diseases and starvation. Many horrible and disappointing things were noticed by Yemeni physicians. One claimed about low weight of a child (e.g., 3.5 kg in the age of eight months); another stated the availability of thin legs and distended belly. Simply put, Yemen was called “the worst humanitarian disaster in the world” since around 20.000 people lost their jobs or 40.000 children are bound to die due to starvation. Parents are not able to pay for medicine; consequently, their children are gradually dying.
