Personal Objective Speech on Calabash
Introduction
Have you ever suffered from food poisoning? (attention catcher) Or have you ever gone for several days without eating fresh food because you don’t have a proper storage facility? (listener relevance link) Well, I have, and that’s why today as my classmates I am going to take you through both the lousy experience one goes through without a better storage facility and the fantastic feeling one has when assured of the safety of their food when stored in the Maasai Calabash (speaker credibility statement). In this speech, I will talk about the calabash in details, its importance to you and me as my classmates (thesis statement). I will also highlight its cultural significance to the Maasai community in Kenya.

Calabash is a vital storage facility among the Maasai community in Kenya. (A.1 sub, sub-point). In the past, it was used to store even cereals away from pests that might cause destruction. (A.2 sub, sub-point). It was also used to store fresh blood that is obtained from cows, but most importantly, it can be used to store milk.
