LedeThroughout the American history, relations of race have explicitly been in representation as being binary. The African Americans, Hispanics, and the Asian Americans have often been overlooked. Consequently, affirmative action has always been considered as a perfect tool for rectifying the menace of racial inequalities and discrimination throughout the country’s past years. In recent times, the Asian Americans have been primary participants in the debate concerning affirmative action. However, the present scholarships have simplistically painted the picture of affirmative action on the Asian-Americans. Scholars have identified adverse effect rather than affirmative action as being the cause of the discrimination against the Asian-Americans during school admissions.
