Noel Conway Loses His Right To Death.
After battling with the rare motor neuron disease way back in 2014, Noel Conway decided to go to the courts to try and legalize his death. The disease which causes a movement in his right hand, his back as well as his neck. According to the 68-year-old man, he had a hard time and would like to be prescribed a dose to end his life by his doctor once it is determined he has less than six months left before his natural death comes.
In a call, he said that he was sure with what he wanted. “The courts have denied me the justice to make decisions for my life,” said Noel Conway. “I have battled the disease long enough, and to this far my doctors have done all they could.” he continued (BBC News, 2018). His family has been with him throughout all this time of pain, and now he thinks it is the time to let go.
He was unable to attend any court hearings, and his lawyer had to do everything for him. The bedridden old man seems to have had enough of his life. “I have had enough battle, too much debt will set in to sustain my life,” said Conway “My life is never getting any better, and I know the end of this is death.” In his voice, he had sense in his words. Though feeling bitter and sad, he said he had to accept the fact (BBC News, 2018).
