Moscow, capital of Russia, is a city that is located in the western part of the country. Moscow has played a contributory role in the Russian history. In the 13th Century, Moscow became the capital of Muscovy. Moscow, in the current times, is the most popular city in the country, and not only is it the Russian political Centre, but also the industrial, educational, scientific and cultural capital (Quested 23). Moscow has also been the Russian Orthodox Church’s spiritual Centre for more than half a century.
Moscow can be said to the heart of Russia as it is a vibrant and an upbeat city. The reconstruction of Moscow, which was almost destroyed by fire, was mostly done after the French took shelter led by Napoleon I back in 1812. To this date, Moscow city continues to experience refurbishing and also rapid social evolution. In this city, most five-story apartments are still intact. More attractive structures, ranging from casinos, supermarkets and nightclubs are visible. Restoration of religious structures have been carried out over time, and the expansion of markets from the past have been carried out to become highly developed retail establishments.
