Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) is a drug that is used for recreational purposes as well as clinical research. Its severe mystical-type experiences causing hallucination have not been scientifically proven (Liechti & Dolder, 2017). And for that matter, a research was conducted using 40 participants that consisted of an equal number of males and females who were later divided into two groups. The main aim was to investigate the impact of the LSD drug on the mind change of the participants (Liechti & Dolder, 2017). The dosage that was used in the two groups was 100 micrograms and 200 micrograms respectively. According to the investigation, it is very unfortunate that the investigators and the researchers were using human instead of animals to check the impact of the drug (Liechti & Dolder, 2017). Since the drug has impact on the brain of the individuals, it could result in permanent damage of the brain since the researchers did not know the appropriate quantity of the drug as well as the concentration that could bring impact on the participants and therefore it could be a way of endangering the lives of the fellow human being. And also, the drug was being tested with a very large number of people, and in case it could cause harm, then the harm could result in the loss of many lives.
