Introduction
Grief is a reaction to any form of loss. Dog loss has distinctive characteristics that may escalate the loss experience and rise in individual’s vulnerability to future stress, particularly children are at high risk to grief. This paper will delve into the analysis of grief therapy for animals; specifically, dogs and their effect on children loss.
Justification
For the working parents, dogs encourage the development of imagination to a child who does not have siblings to play with. Children will stay with the dogs and play games with them and will assist them to develop motor skills. Babies usually creep after a pet or reach out to grab the tail of a dog and most importantly increase the learning process. Children at a younger age are not aware they can feel pain or be hurt by these animals. Looking at a dog give birth, will teach them something about a life beginning and the death of a dog about life ending. It can assist a child to learn how to subsist his or her own life (Altschiller 10).

The research will contribute to health effects of pet owners and in a survey conducted a sample of 1000 Australians over 16 years of age, dog and cat owners experience fewer doctor visits and less likely to take medication than non-pet owners.
